POTSDAM -- For many months, plans have been underway for the 2nd Potsdam Central School ‘Mega Reunion’, a.k.a., Stonerstock 2, which is scheduled for Thursday – Sunday, Aug. 10 – 13.

The four-day event, open to any and all alumni and faculty of the school, will include a variety of activities and events in and around Potsdam, as well as fundraising opportunities for clubs and organizations at the school.

It’s estimated that about 1,000 people will be in town to attend all or some of the events planned:

The schedule is as follows: Thursday; 4 – 10 p.m., Elks Club, Early Registration & ‘Let’s Get this Party Started’ event; Friday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Potsdam Museum, registration; Friday, 11:30 a.m. – gone, Elks Club chicken BBQ, meal price paid directly to them; Friday, 4 – 6 p.m., Class Mixers, numerous locations around Potsdam; Friday, 7 p.m. – midnight; block party on Market Street, two bands; Saturday, 9 – 10 a.m., Run, Walk, Meander, Hop, Skip 5K, $5 fee; Saturday, 10 a.m. – noon, Swing Time Golf, mini golf tournament; Saturday, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., Pine Street, kickball tournament; Campus School vs. St. Mary’s, $5 per person, Contact Peggy Brusso, brusso20@hotmail.com, benefits: Potsdam Booster Club; Saturday, Saturday, 5 – 11 p.m., SUNY Potsdam, Barrington Student Union, 5 – 6 p.m., happy hour, 6 – 8 p.m.; welcome & buffet dinner, 8 - midnight; band and dancing; Saturday, 11 p.m. – 2 a.m., Maxfields, JamFest; and Sunday, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., PCS High School, breakfast and tours of school.

Event merchandise will also be available for purchase, and donations will be accepted for those without tickets who plan to attend the downtown block party. All other events require a ticket for entrance.
