STOCKHOLM -- Stockholm Town Council will host a public hearing on a proposed property tax-cap override followed by a budget hearing beginning at 6 p.m. Nov. 8 at the West Stockholm Fire Station.
The Economic Development Committee will begin with a public session. The public is encouraged to bring ideas before the board.
At 6:30 p.m. the board will host a public hearing regarding the tax-cap override. The board will also discuss St. Lawrence County's financial crisis and how it might impact the town.
A hearing regarding the proposed 2013-2014 budget will begin at 7 p.m. followed by a discussion of the January tax bills.
The public is encouraged to attend all or any sessions.
