CANTON – The third annual “Steps For Savana” 5K Fun Walk/Run is accepting early bird registrations through April 11.
Participants can register for $20 and will receive a free t-shirt. The fee will be $25 on race day.
The fundraiser is in memory of Savana O’Shea who was born in 2011 with a rare genetic disorder call partial trisomy 9. She passed away earlier this year.
The event is planned for May 3 at the Remington Recreation Trail at the Partridge Run Golf Course. Walkers and runners will start at 10 a.m. at the main entrance.
Registration runs from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and an opening ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
All proceeds go to the Galisano Children’s hospital at the Steps For Savana Memorial Fund to help local families with medical and travel expenses.
To register, call 379-1829.
