POTSDAM -- St. Mary's Church will host "The Birth of Jesus - A Franciscan Christmas" Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
Organizers say the Christmas mystery play is not a Christmas pageant, but attempts to portray the events surrounding the Lord's birth as realistically as possible.
The story spans event from the birth of Christ to his death. Organizers say it may not be suitable for children.
The show will be presented by the Franciscan Mystery Players Teen Group of Clayton and will include special lighting and sound.
Adults and teens are encouraged to attend, but is not recommended for children 10 and under.
