CANTON -- The St. Lawrence Valley chapter of the National on Mental Illness will meet at 3 p.m. on Dec. 5 at the Human Resources Building on state Route 310.
Speakers will be from the United Helpers mosaic group, including Nicole Kennedy from the Assertive Community Treatment Team and Alison Thornhill from Supported Housing.
The ACT Team is a group of mental health professionals who go to the homes of their patients regularly to treat them. Supported Housing refers to places such as Gateway Apartments in Ogdensburg, which houses people with various mental health problems under the supervision of trained staff.
Refreshments will be served.
