CANTON -- St. Lawrence University’s annual Writers Series will launch its 2017-18 season with author Sue Halpern at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, in Sykes Common Room.
The event is free and open to the public.
Halpern is the author of four nonfiction books on topics as far-ranging as the migration cycles of monarch butterflies, the pleasures of solitude, the front lines of memory research, and life (and bicycling) in the Adirondacks.
The Writer Series is sponsored by St. Lawrence University’s Department of English.
