CANTON — St. Lawrence University introduces the spring season with familiar sounds from several ensembles at the university.
All performances are free and open to the public.
The St. Lawrence University’s Wind Ensemble, directed by Kyle Tupper, will showcase their spring concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, in the Peterson-Kermani Performance Hall.
Under the leadership of Barry Torres, the St. Lawrence University Chorus will twice present the songs of Simon & Garfunkel.
The first performance will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at Pickens Hall, located at 83 States St. in Heuvelton.
The second will happen on the St. Lawrence University campus at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 23, in the Peterson-Kermani Performance Hall.
Finally, the St. Lawrence University String Orchestra will present a retrospect of 40 years of Star Wars with two performances, the first at 7:30 p.m. at George Hall Auditorium, 1100 State St. in Ogdensburg, on Saturday, April 29; and the second at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, at Peterson-Kermani Performance Hall on campus.
The strings are under the direction of Christian Hosmer.
