CANTON -- St. Lawrence University is hosting a production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet titled "Romeo and Juliet Redux" April 2 through 5 at 8 p.m. each night. The performances are free and open to the public, a news release from the school suggests parental guidance.
Visiting professor of performance and communication arts Charles Pepiton has altered the original play so it begins with Romeo and Juliet's deaths and jumps forward and backward in time leading up to what he sees as the play's climax.
