St. Lawrence University to host multiple institutions during Higher Education Night Sept. 30

CANTON -- St. Lawrence University will host nearly 100 colleges, universities and institutions during its annual Higher Education Night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 30 in the Leithead Field House.

The field house is located in the Augsbury Physical Education Center on SLU campus.

Higher Education Night is an opportunity for high school students and their families to meet with representatives from colleges and universities and to inquire about admissions requirements, academic offerings, student life and more. Financial aid representatives will also provide details about the application process and the various types of available financial aid.

A selective college admissions panel will precede the event from 5:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. in the same location. The panel is intended for students in grades 9 though 11 and their parents, as well as counselors, and will focus on what students can do in high school to enhance their applications for admission to selective colleges. Panelists will comment on curricular choices, summer activities, jobs, schools and community activities.

Institutions and organizations scheduled to participate include: Adirondack Community College, Air Force ROTC at Clarkson University, Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Alfred State, SUNY Alfred University, Army ROTC at Clarkson University, Brockport, SUNY College at Bryant & Stratton College, Buffalo State, SUNY Burlington College, Canisius College, SUNY College of Technology at Carleton University, Castleton State College, Cayuga Community College, Cazenovia College, Clarkson University, Clinton Community College, Cobleskill, SUNY College of Agriculture and Technology at College of Saint Rose, College of St. Joseph, Vermont, SUNY College at Cortland, D’Youville College, SUNY College of Technology at Delhi, Elmira College, SUNY College of Environmental Science & Forestry, Ferris State University, SUNY College at Fredonia and Fulton-Montgomery Community College.
