CANTON -- St. Lawrence University will host a mental health counseling presentation delivered by William Sharp from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 13 in Carnegie Hall, room 010. Sharp is a lecturer at Northeastern University and a member of the faculty at the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis.
Using case studies, Sharp will provide examples of how to work with students and teachers alike in both private practice and as part of pupil support teams and in the academic achievement frameworks of programs, such as the national Response to Intervention.
The presentation is geared toward both education and counseling students and professionals, who are interested in seeing how talking can help both in the treatment room as well as the classroom. Info: 229-5965.
