CANTON -- St. Lawrence University, Leithead Field House in the Augsbury Physical Education Center, Park Street, will host a free “Higher Education Night” Oct. 1 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Nearly 100 colleges, universities and institutions will be represented and give high school students and their families a chance to meet representative, discuss financial aid, and have any questions answered.
A selective college admissions panel will immediately precede the event from 5:45 to 6:15 p.m.
It will be held on the second floor in Augsbury. The panel is intended for students in grades 9 though 11 and their parents, as well as counselors, and will focus on what students can do in high school to improve their applications for admission to selective colleges.
Panelists will comment on curricular choices, summer activities, jobs, schools and community activities.
