St. Lawrence University to host art exhibits beginning Jan. 20

CANTON -- St. Lawrence University’s Richard F. Brush Art Gallery will present two art exhibitions that will run from Jan. 20 to Feb. 22.

The first exhibition, titled “Hard-Edge Abstraction: Paintings and Works on Paper,” will feature St. Lawrence Associate professor of Art and Art History Kasarian Dane and several other artists. Artist Matthew Deleget will speak in Griffiths Arts Center 123 at 7 p.m. Feb. 5.

Ben Grant will deliver a presentation in the Brush Art Gallery at 4:30 Feb. 11. The second exhibition, titled “Strange Tales,” will include illustrations that were included in a recently completed six-volume translation of a series of short stories written by 18th-century Chinese writer Pu Songling.
