CANTON — St. Lawrence University will host a “Service of Gratitude” for the Canton Fire Department from 7 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, at Gunnison Memorial Chapel.
The event will recognize the fire department for their work and efforts in saving the chapel during a fire that broke out on Oct. 6, 2013.
Speakers will include St. Lawrence University President William L. Fox, Chief Facilities Officer Dan Seaman, Thelomathesian Society President Ryan Orvis, and Canton Fire Chief Robert Crowe.
Musical numbers will be performed by the Singing Saints, the Singing Sinners, The Upbeats, the Gospel Choir and the Laurentian Singers as well as ringing of the Bacheller Memorial Chime.
