CANTON – The St. Lawrence University Funk Band will perform for free April 10 at 8 p.m. at The Underground in the Noble Center, 23 Romoda Dr. Known as “SLU Funk,” the band began its sixth semester in the spring 2014 semester.
The group consists of male and female vocalists, horns, keyboards, guitar, bass, drums and percussion.
The band’s core repertoire remains the funk and soul music of the 1960s, 70s and 80s, but each semester’s incarnation of the band develops its own set lists that draw on participants’ interests and strengths. Info: www.stlawu.edu/music/funk-band.
