CANTON -- St. Lawrence University's Biology Department will hold their Fall Nature Festival from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Wachtmeister Field Station. Ecology-based activities will include geo-caching, microscopic viewing, nature walks, and pumpkin carving and painting.
Nature Up North will feature maple arts and crafts as well as a tasting of local maple syrup.
The event is sponsored by the Alpha Iota chapter of Beta Beta Beta, the Biology Honor Society.
The Wachtmeister Field Station is located on Park Street approximately one mile south of campus on the left just past the Park Street bridge. In the event of rain, all events will take place inside the field station. The event is free, all ages are welcome, and there will be chances to win prizes.
