CANTON – Howard Eissenstat, St. Lawrence University assistant professor of history, will present “A Historic Opportunity: Amnesty’s Work on Turkey” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 10 in the Sykes Formal Lounge.
The event is open to the public, free of charge.
Eissenstat, who is a Turkey country specialist for Amnesty International, will discuss Turkey’s record of attacks on freedom of expression and Amnesty International’s current efforts to push it toward real and lasting reform.
