NORFOLK -- The St. Lawrence Long Rifles Muzzle Loading Rifle Club will hold the annual covered dish dinner Saturday, March 9 at 6 p.m. at the Norfolk Rod and Gun Club, Cemetery Road.
The dinner will include a talk by Ken Freidel, a Civil War historian. Freidel will discuss the great locomotive chase during the Civil War. In 1863 Union soldiers hijacked a Confederate railroad train and drove it 86 miles before being halted.
The dinner menu will include roast ham, rolls, coffee and milk. Bring a covered dish to share and a place setting.
