MADRID -- The St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum, 1755 St. Hwy. 345, hosts their annual antique gas and steam engine exhibition June 8 and June 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Highlights will include miniature horses, draft horses and tractor pulls.
A 1920’s gas station will be open for business and an old iron auction and silent auction will be held.
A maple sugar house, walker granary, farm house and milk house will also be on display.
Antique gas, steam and diesel engines, farm tractors, cars and trucks will be featured, as well as early farm implements and equipment. Windmills, saw mills and members’ exhibits will also be available.
A chicken house and farm animals will also be featured. A shoe repair shop and school reconstruction will be featured, along with free horse and tractor dies.
Demonstrations will include early textiles and chainsaw and wood carving.
Breakfast will be served from 7 to 10 a.m., with food available all day. Baked good and ice cream will be available for purchase.
Raffles will be offered.
Saturday events include: 10 a.m. - Tractor Plowing Demonstration; 10 to 11 a.m. - Antique Sawmill Operating; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Antique Auto and Truck Exhibit; 11 a.m. - Miniature Horse Pull; 12:30 p.m. - Tractor and Horse Parade; 1 p.m. - Draft Horse Pull; 1 to 2 p.m. - Antique Sawmill Operating; 1 to 2 p.m. - Tractor Plowing Demo; 1 to 2:30 p.m. - Kids Pedal Tractor Races; 2 to 5:30 p.m. - Old Iron Auction; 5 to 7 p.m. - Spaghetti Supper; and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. - Live Music by Pure Country.
Sunday events will include: 8 to 9 a.m. - Trustees Meeting; 9:30 a.m. - Horse and Tractor Parade; 10 to 11 a.m. - Antique Sawmill Operating; 10 to 11 a.m. - Tractor Plowing Demonstration; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Antique Auto and Truck Exhibit; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. - Antique Tractor Pull; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Honey Dew Acres Pony Rides; Noon - Gone Barbeque Chicken Dinner; 1 to 2 p.m. - Tractor Plowing Demonstration; 1 to 2 p.m. - Antique Sawmill Operating; 1 to 2:30 p.m. - Kids Pedal Tractor Pull; and 2 p.m. - Raffle Drawings.
Vendors are welcome, but must be museum members and have a sales tax certificate.
Admission will be $5 for ages 12 and older. Children will be free.
