St. Lawrence NYSARC assistant executive director Michelle Quinell-Gayle receives a sponsorship check from Down Syndrome Association of St. Lawrence County president Christine Thompson. THe funds will help bring the band Flame to Canton on June 7.
CANTON -- St. Lawrence NYSARC and the Down Syndrome Association of St. Lawrence County are teaming up to bring the band Flame to Canton on June 7 at 3 p.m.
The event will be on the St. Lawrence NYSARC main office grounds.
Flame is a group of musicians with disabilities from New York state.
They have been playing for 10 years and have toured the northeast United States.
Their repertoire includes 100 hits from the last five decades, plus original numbers.
Flame have performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the House of Blues, have had a feature story in People magazine and an appearance on ABC TV’s Good Morning America.
