The 8th annual St. Lawrence International Junior Carp Tournament is now underway and continues through Saturday, Aug. 21 for youth ages 11-18 and their parents/guardians. This fishing tournament takes place along the banks of the St. Lawrence River from Massena to Ogdensburg, with the headquarters at Donald Martin Civic Center, Waddington.
Fishing began at 7 a.m., with a lunch break from noon to 2 p.m., and fishing resuming from 2 to 8 p.m.
Again on Saturday, fishing resumes at 7 a.m., with a lunch break from noon to 1 p.m., fishing from 1 to 5 p.m., a pizza party from 5 to 6:30 p.m., and an awards ceremony at Madrid-Waddington High School at 6:30 p.m.
Pre-registration is required. Cost is $125 after July 15. Space is limited. For more information, call 877-228-7810.
