The St. Lawrence Health Initiative will host several fitness events this summer.
The 12th annual Tour de Potsdam 5k wellness walk/run will be July 11 behind Potsdam Laundry, Beal Street.
Walkers will begin at 6 p.m. and runners at 6:30 p.m. Registration will begin at 5 p.m.
The first 100 registrants will receive a free T-shirt.
Registration will be $15. Children 12 and under will run for free with registered adult.

A bike rodeo will be held as part of “Outer Market Mania” during Potsdam Summer Festival. Kids ages six to 12 can meet at Big Lots Friday, July 12 from noon to 4 p.m. to learn bike handling and traffic skills on an obstacle course. The Potsdam Police Department and county Traffic Safety Program will instruct.
Bring your own bike and helmet.
The initiative has also launched the new Get Out & Live North Country website to encourage walking and biking.
