Local middle and high school students will be participating in Manufacturing Day on Oct. 13 to learn about manufacturing career opportunities.
Manufacturing Day is held each year in early October, and is part of a national movement to showcase modern manufacturing and foster interest in manufacturing careers with America’s future workforce.
In Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties around 1,100 students from 33 different schools will tour 20 different companies.
In St. Lawrence County, ACCO Brands, Curran Renewable Energy, DeFelsko Corporation, Potsdam Specialty Paper, Med-Eng, and Alcoa are hosting tours.
