St. Lawrence County Historical Association’s 27th Antique & Artisan Show and Sale returns Saturday in Canton

CANTON – A sure sign that spring has sprung is the upcoming St. Lawrence County Historical Association’s 27th Antique & Artisan Show and Sale.

A number of antique dealers and artisans from all over the North Country have registered for booth space at this not-to-be missed show and sale.

Sponsored by Blanchard’s Auction Service, Potsdam, Mort Backus & Sons, Ogdensburg, and Niles Asset Management, Inc., Canton, the SLCHA Antique & Artisan Show and Sale will be held at Canton’s McKenney Middle School, 99 State St.

Vendors from St. Lawrence, Franklin, Jefferson, and Lewis Counties will have a wide variety of items on hand. The show opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 22 and runs until 4 p.m. There is free parking at the school.

Participating antique dealers and artisans and their goods include: Corky Originals, Cranberry Lake, beaded and wire jewelry; Harvest Herb Company, Malone, culinary herbal blends, jam, potpourri; Ice House Antiques, Raymondville, antiques & collectibles; Grasse River Antiques, Canton glass & china; 2nd Time Around, Malone, upcycled fabrics; Country Collectibles, Moira glass, jewelry, timepieces, ephemera; Breakable Collectibles, Heuvelton, glass and jewelry; Heirlooms, Harrisville, yarn and hand-knit items; My Corner Studio, Canton, silversmithing; Greenboard Enterprises, Malone, handmade wood products; White Stone Farm, Chateaugay, handspun yarns and Artbank, Canton stamps, postcards, dishes, and artwork.

Admission is $4, and includes a chance to bid in the silent auction, and to luncheon and dessert. Raffle tickets for a full-size floral quilt, donated by Beth Grace in memory of Marcia Eggleston, will be available at the show. The winner will be drawn at the show, though you do not need to be present to win.
