POTSDAM – The St. Lawrence County Democratic Committee will honor community leader Sylvia Kingston at its annual Fall Harvest Dinner Friday, Oct. 20 in Knowles Hall at SUNY Potsdam.
New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli will be in attendance as the keynote speaker.
The event will welcome many state and local elected officials as well as proponents of labor in St. Lawrence County and New York State.
In recognition of organized labor’s advocacy on behalf of working men and women, the theme for this year’s dinner is “A Salute To Labor.”
This year’s recipient of the Silas Wright Award, Sylvia Kingston of Canton, will be honored for her years of service to the residents of Canton and St. Lawrence County in addition to her dedication to the Democratic Party in St. Lawrence County.
The dinner begins at 7 p.m. Tickets to the dinner will be available at the door.
