POTSDAM -- The St. Lawrence County Democratic Committee will host their Fall Harvest Dinner at Knowles Hall on the campus of SUNY Potsdam, Friday, Oct. 20.
In recognition of organized labor’s never-ending advocacy on behalf of working men and women across the North Country and the world, the theme for this year’s Dinner is “A Salute To Labor.”
NYS Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli will attend as the keynote speaker. The event will include attendance by many state and local elected officials as well as friends of labor in St. Lawrence County and New York State.
This year’s recipient of the Silas Wright Award, Sylvia Kingston of Canton, will be honored for her years of service to the residents of Canton and St. Lawrence County in addition to her dedication to the ideals of Democratic Party in St. Lawrence County.
Dinner begins at 7 p.m., and tickets will be available at the door.
