CANTON -- St. Lawrence County’s Waydown Wailers will open for national act “Los Lonely Boys” at the Palace Theater in Syracuse Sept. 30 at 8 p.m.
The show follows in a wake of positive news for the band, which released an album on Woodstock Records last year and received much critical acclaim.
The album “State of the Union” can be purchased from the iStore or http://www.woodstockrecords.com/.
The band includes members Dave and Christian Parker, Michael Scriminger and Connor Pelkey.
Waydown Wailers’ first performance was July 2011 opening for the Made in New York Festival in Sackets Harbor, which featured the Spin Doctors, Blue Coupe and Wirlwind; they have also performed in Watertown with the Trews from Canada. More recently the band played the 45th anniversary of Woodstock at Yasgur’s Farm in Bethel.
The Wailers have grown a large fan base in northern New York with their eclectic mix of original outlaw jam swamp blues-rock style.
