POTSDAM – The St. Lawrence County Arts Council will hold its annual membership meeting in their dance studio in Downtown Snell Hall Saturday, March 5 from 2 to 4 p.m.
The Annual Meeting is a chance to meet the council’s board of directors and other council members. There will be a report about the activities of the past year, a look ahead at plans for the coming year, and the membership will elect new board members.
This year, artist Susan Thacher will be remembered with an Arts Recognition Award. Thacher was a gentle, cheerful artist who created beautiful quilts and knitted work with an exquisite sense of color and fine detail. Her life in the arts included working at the Potsdam Public Museum and serving on the SLC Arts Council Board of directors.
Susan passed away at the end of 2009. The award will be presented to her husband Eric Thacher.
This event is free and open to the public.
