MASSENA -- St. Lawrence Centre Arena will offer free skate sharpening Thursday, March 7 to members of the Massena Central and St. Lawrence Central schools’ hockey teams.

Erich Ober, the arena’s general manager, will man the skate sharpening machine from 3 to 9 p.m. to give hockey players an “edge” before the semi-finals in Utica this weekend.

Players with freshly sharpened skates can test them on the arena’s ice.
