BRASHER FALLS -- St. Lawrence Central will celebrate its Homecoming Weekend with some new events this year and the proceeds from the entire weekend will go directly to the SLC athletic fund.

The celebration begins Thursday, Sept. 20 at "Celebrity Tip Night" at the Riverview Restaurant in Brasher Falls. Guest servers from the SLC coaching and support staff will be waiting tables and serving up laughs from 4 p.m. until closing. Chris Normile will be the master of ceremonies for the evening.

The first ever "SLC Tailgate Party" will get underway in the parking lot behind the high school gym starting at 9 a.m. Saturday morning, Sept. 22. For $5 per car, a spot at the party can be reserved and along with free entrance to all Saturday's games. There will be music, 50/50 raffles, concession, and Larrie Spirit-wear available throughout the day.

Kickoff for the first game of the day will be at 10:30 a.m. on the varsity soccer field when the St. Lawrence Central Girls' Varsity will host Parishville-Hopkinton. There will be an entrance fee of $1 for adults. There will be a half-time contest for a lucky fan to make a goal.

The SLC Varsity Boys' Football team squares off against Gouveneur at 2 p.m. Adult admission is $1. Fans sporting tailgate bracelets will not be charged. At half-time a fan will have a chance to put the pigskin through the uprights and win.

After the game, the celebration continues at the The Riverview where the official "After-Glo" party will commence. A tailgating bracelet is worth a free drink.
