OGDENSBURG – The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce’s Sportsman’s Show is scheduled for Saturday, April 25 at the Lockwood Civic Center with hunting, fishing, hiking, ATV and other vendors.

“We are excited about the show and hope to exceed our 55 vendors from last year,” said Laura Pearson, executive director of the chamber.

There will be a raffle for a muzzleloader and a 50/50 raffle.

The muzzleloader raffle features a 50 cal. T.C. B collector in-line muzzleloader with camo stock and speed breech XT. The guns retails for $499. The winner can accept the gun or a $499 cash prize! Tickets are on sale at the Ogdensburg Chamber Office for $5 or three for $10.

“So far we have about 25 vendors signed up…but a lot of people do it late,” she said.

A wide range of confirmed new vendors include: Thousand Islands Armory, who will sell hunting accessories; William Russell Photography, who will see wildlife photos; High Peaks Log Homes; Freshwater Life, who will sell fishing supplies and offer information on fishing charters; Nature’s Vision taxidermy and the ADK Club who will speak about hiking adventures in Northern New York.

“I attended the expo in Massena and based off of that I expect a few more vendors to sign up,” Pearson said.

Other vendors include Bowman’s Gun Shop, Blevins Brothers RV Center, St. Lawrence County Trappers Association; Wrights Sporting Goods & Marine, Inc.; R & K Collectors Depot; St. Lawrence Valley Sportsman’s Club; NYS DEC Bureau of Wildlife; Racquette Valley Fish and Game Club; Friots Family Farm Paracord Projects and Fisher and Son Scroll Saw WoodArt.

The Seaway Valley Quality Deer Management Association will also attend the show.

A concession stand will be available all day.

The expo is open from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. with adult admission $6, $3 for current military with ID and kids under 12 are free.

“We would like to invite vendors who sell guns and ammo as well as fishing and other outdoor sports… we are always looking for new vendors to add to our show,” she said.

Vendor info: 393-3620 or info@ogdensburgny.com.

“I invite people to come on out and take a tour and see what we have to offer,” Pearson said.
