SOUTH COLTON -- Higley Flow State Park will be open Wednesday afternoons and evenings until 8 p.m. during February, and the new Higley Trails Lodge will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays
A volunteer from the Friends of Higley Flow State Park will be on hand to answer questions from 6 to 8 p.m.
Patrons taking advantage of these Wednesday opportunities are required to exit the parking lot by 8 p.m., as one responsibility of the volunteer is to insure that everyone has safely left.
Ski conditions at the park have been excellent with track-set groomed trails on Overlook, Warm Brook, Pine and Old Pine trails. The park road and camp loops are also groomed for skate skiing and track-set for classic.
As ski and hiking conditions are subject to change, people are encouraged to check the Friends of Higley Flow State Park website, higleyfriends.org, for up-to-date ski conditions or cancelations due to weather.
Normal park hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with the new Higley Trails Lodge open daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
