CANTON -- Lonel Woods of the Crane School of Music performs songs and stories of the Civil War Saturday, May 5, at 7 p.m. at the Silas Wright House, 3 East Main St.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the St. Lawrence County Historical Association at 386-8133 or www.slcha.org.
The performance is part of the association’s commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.
Around 7,000 St. Lawrence County men enlisted to fight for the Union during the Civil War, even though Confederate forces never threatened Northern New York. Woods is a tenor and an assistant professor of voice at Crane.
