NORWOOD -- The 23rd annual Norwood Lake Regatta runs Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 25 and 26 with snowmobile races on the water and continues with children’s games and more throughout the weekend.
The Eastern Watercoss Association will headline regatta events with pro and semi-pro races starting at 11 a.m.
While the races are the highlight of the event, guests can also enjoy vendors, crafts, food and legal beverages.
In addition, a bounce house and 60-foot obstacle course will be available for youngsters.
Vendor space is also still available for $5 admission.
Profits from the regatta will benefit local residents through projects that include fish stocking in Norwood Lake, installing new roof on gazebo at Norwood beach, providing lunch for 80-90 children in this year's NNCS summer recreation program and painting the Norwood Lake Association Recycling Center.
Lake Association members volunteer their services each Saturday at the recycling center on Bernard Ave. where they accept 75 percent of household waste from over 300 residents at no charge.
