CANTON – Anyone interested in singing at A Gathering for Reflection in Words and Music with Orchestra and Chorus at 7 p.m. September 11 at St. Lawrence University’s Gunnison Memorial Chapel may contact Sondra Proctor at chapel@stlaw.edu.
Rehearsals will be held Monday, Aug. 29, Monday, Sept. 5 and Friday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. in the chapel.
There will be readings, a performance of Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber and an open reading of Requiem by Gabriel Fauré for choir and orchestra.
Bring your own score or borrow one.
The concert will be conducted by Christian Hosmer and Sondra Goldsmith Proctor will play the organ.
If you do not wish to sing, come to support, remember and reflect. All are welcome.
Admission is free. Parking is available in the chapel parking lot and other lots in walking distance of the chapel.
