POTSDAM – Slic Network Solutions, will host a “Broadband vs. Slap Shot Challenge” for kids up to 14 years old at Clarkson’s Cheel Arena during the “Really Big Show” on April 25 and 26.
Contestants will use street hockey equipment to shoot a puck as fast as possible at a goal and have their speeds measured using Clarkson Baseball’s radar equipment.
Kids will compete in four different age divisions, Mites ages 8 years and younger, Squirts ages 9 and 10, PeeWee ages 11 and 12 and Bantams ages 13 and 14.
Each participant will be given three shots and their fastest shot will be recorded. There will be giveaways throughout the event and the fastest speed from each age division will be entered into a drawing for prizes.
