LAKE PLACID -- The Art Devlin Cup, for ski jumping excellence, will be up for grabs Thursday, Dec. 29, when the Olympic Jumping Complex hosts the 57th Annual New Year’s Masters Ski Jump.
The annual competition opens on the 90-meter hill at Mt. von Hoevenburg, southeast of Lake Placid, beginning at 7 p.m. The Art Devlin Cup rates jumps over the July 4, Columbus Day and New Year’s ski jump events. The top 10 jumpers from the event’s first two rounds move onto finals.
The action continues Friday, Dec. 30, at 12:30 p.m., when the New York Ski Educational Foundation hosts its annual ski jumping event on the 90-meter hill. Many of these jumpers are moving through the ranks with hopes of one day making the U.S. team in the future.
Daily admission to the ski jumping events is $15 for adults, and $9 for juniors/seniors; children 6 and under enter free.
