MASSENA -- Six bands will perform at a Sunday, Feb. 22 jamboree for a Winthrop man battling a rare cancer.
Shaun O’Brien, 36, a Massena Central graduate, is fighting adenoid cystic carcinoma. Funds raised at the event will help he and his wife, Deedee, with medical and travel expenses for trips to Boston for treatment.
The event, slated for 2 to 10 p.m., will be at the Moose lodge, 4 Ames St.
Bands on tap include Crunchenstein, Verbal Misconduct 2.0, Outta the Blue, Sweet Revenge, Sudden Impact and Juggernaut Agenda.
There will be a cash bar and raffles. Hot food will be served from 2 to 5 p.m.
Admission is $10.
