CANTON -- The Canton Free Library’s Summer Reading Program, which is themed “Every Hero Has a Story,” will begin the second week of July and continue for four weeks.
Children ages 18 months to 12 years old can register for books, crafts, games, music, and more. The schedule is:
• 18- 35 months with a caregiver meet at 10 a.m. on Thursdays.
• 3 and 4 year olds with a caregiver meet Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
• 5 and 6 year olds meet Tuesdays at 1 p.m.
• 7 and 8 year olds meet Tuesdays at 3 p.m.
• 9 to 12 year olds meet Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m.
• Special all-ages events are planned on Thursdays at 2 pm. This year there will be a naturalist and critters from the Watertown Zoo, “Heroes in Folksong” by Nan Hoffman, the annual Summer Reading Pet Show and “Books at the Beach” at Taylor Park. Registration: www.cantonfreelibrary.org/node/247.
