POTSDAM -- Clarkson will host a "How to Grow Your Business Workshop" from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, in the Bertrand H. Snell Hall Room 330 Petersen Board Room.

Dale Rice '05, director of the Small Business Development Center at SUNY Canton, will deliver this workshop for regional business owners, students and other interested in learning effective way to grow a business.

"The workshop is tailored for business owners who are looking for practical advice that can be immediately applied to their business," Reh Center for Entrepreneurship Director of Operations Erin Draper said. "We'll talk about growing your business online and other tips and tricks for growth."

After the workshop, small business owners have a chance to set up a table to display their products, brochures and samples. In partnership with the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce and the Canton and Potsdam Chambers, the Small Business Fair will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in Bertrand H. Snell Hall. The event is free.

"We're helping to develop a connection between the student community and the business community to encourage students to shop locally," Draper said.
