POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Rotary will host its fifth Wheelchair Challenge Oct. 25 at Maxcy Hall Field House at SUNY Potsdam.
The challenge is a four-person team elimination relay race, which not only provides wheelchairs for needy persons throughout the world, but allows participants to experience the difficulties in maneuvering a wheelchair.
The entry fee for a team is $75 and will be matched by the Wheelchair Foundation. This will help deliver a wheelchair to an immobile person. Each team will receive a certificate and photo of the recipient at a later date.
Prizes will be awarded to top three teams. Prizes will also be given to the team with best costumes and best team spirit.
Teams must pre-register by Oct. 17 by downloading a registration form at www.potsdamroatary.org.
