MASSENA -- The Massena Recreaton Commission is holding its 15th Ted Kot Youth Fishing Day on May 17 at the Hawkins Point Visitors Center, rain or shine.
Check-in and registration will run from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Fishing will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Anglers must bring a rod and bait, only live worms can be used. FIshing is from shoreline only.
Awards will be given at 1:15 p.m. for first, second and third-heaviest live in-season fish. There will be awards given for ages four to nine and 10 to 15.
Participants will be entered into prize drawings throughout the day. Those pre-registered will get a goody bag.
All youth participants will get a free hot dog and soda the day of the event.
