NORWOOD – Parents and families can easily learn sign language along with their children ages 0 to 3 years at Signing Time baby signing classes at the Norwood Library beginning Wednesday, Jan. 11 from 2 to 2:30 p.m.
American Sign Language is beneficial for hearing toddlers and young children because it quickens language development, increases self-esteem, and fosters a love of learning. Parenting children becomes easier when you can communicate with your child, and you don’t need to wait until your baby starts talking.
Learning sign language strengthens a child’s reading, writing, spelling and speaking skills. The class will continue on Wednesdays Jan. 18 and 25. The cost is a requested donation to the library.
