POTSDAM -- Registration is open for children ages 7 to 13 to participate in the Young People’s Arts Festival at the St. Lawrence County Arts Council, Downtown Snell Hall, 41 Elm St., on June 14.
The day-long event includes hands-on visual art, music, dance, and theater. Children get to choose from eight different workshops taught by local artists and art teachers.
Children will participate in four of these workshops based on preferences indicated on registration forms, and everyone gets a break at lunchtime to play games with physical education specialist Lesley Turner or explore the North Country Children’s Museum interactive exhibit.
Registration for classes is limited to 80 children.
Registration forms are due by June 1 with a $35 registration fee per child for the whole day; financial assistance is available.
