Staff from the State Department of Environmental Conservation and the St. Lawrence County Planning Office will provide an overview of the New York Mined Lands Reclamation Law, explain how local boards are involved in the issuance of a DEC mining permit and end with a review of two case studies from St. Lawrence County.
This year-end training session is intended to help satisfy part of the annual four-hour training requirement for members of planning boards and zoning boards of appeals.
The two-hour training session is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Registration required with a $25 fee is required: 379-2292 or drussell@stlawco.org
