CANTON -- The Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County, 2043B State Highway 68, will offer an 8-week maple program for youth between the ages of 6 and 18.
The first meeting will held Saturday, Jan. 17, at 10:30 a.m. in the classroom at the Extension Learning Farm.
Meetings will be held on some Friday nights and some Saturdays.
The cost is $25 per youth and includes handouts, snacks, some lunches and a bottle of maple syrup.
Parents are welcome to participate with their child.
Anyone under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Participants will start with running tubing to the end result of bottling the syrup and making confections.

Program limit is 20.
