CANTON -- The Cerebral Palsy Association of the North County will host the 16th annual Polar Bear Golf Tournament Thursday, Feb. 12 with nine holes of golf in the snow.
Other event highlights include warm refreshments throughout the day, prize raffles, and a kayak race in the snow and a snowshoeing activity. There will be a casual dinner and a short trivia quiz at the end of the night.
The tournament will take place at the Best Western University Inn and St. Lawrence University Golf Course.
All proceeds go toward the associations outdoor recreation program, which provides individuals with disabilities opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, and more.
Participants can golf for $25, have dinner at 5 p.m. for $25, or do both for $40. Tee times for golf begin at 10 a.m. and run in 10-minute increments until 3:30 p.m.
The format will be a 4-person scramble, but teams with less than four people are welcome to play.
Polar Bear Golf gear will be sold.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available for those interested. If you are a business that does not wish to sponsor but would like to contribute in some way, form a team and come play.
If you are interested in participating or becoming a sponsor, contact Tammy Beaudin at 386-1156 x2005 or tbeaudin@cpnorthcountry.org.
