The St. Lawrence County Arts Council will present a series of interactive dance workshops and a performance featuring the Sasha Soreff Dance Theater from New York City and their “Shoelace Project” April 13 and 14 in DeKalb, Canton and Potsdam.
The events engage participants in sharing their hopes and fears by writing them on long shoelaces. The dancers then work with the audience to develop movements and dance gestures that express their thoughts and feelings. The final performance will be Saturday, April 14 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the community room of First Presbyterian Church, 42 Elm St.
All are welcome. For dates, times and locations of the other events, visit the NorthCountryNow.com/arts-council, call 265-6860 or use the contact link on www.slcartscouncil.org
