CANTON -- St. Lawrence University will host Carmen Vázquez, an advocate and activist on gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning (GLBTQ) issues, at 4:30 p.m. April 7, in Griffiths Hall 123.
Her free presentation, titled “Sex and the People: A conversation about sex,” is being sponsored by St. Lawrence’s Department of Gender and Sexuality.
Vázquez currently works as the coordinator for the LGBT Health and Human Services Unit at the New York State Department of Health’s AIDS Institute.
The presentation will focus on the history of sex and power in the United States.
