CANTON – The second annual Tribute to Shirley Wells will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 at Maplewood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Canton.
The tribute was first hosted last year as a way to remember the legacy of Ms. Wells, who bequeathed her home to the Society of the United Helpers. Wells, who had a deep love for music, was an elementary teacher in Canton for more than 20 years.
Entertainment for this year’s tribute will be provided by the Potsdam-based jazz duo Vitek & Brown, pianist Bill Vitek and vocalist Laura Brown.
