Saturday jamboree in Ogdensburg will raise money to help cancer-stricken amputee buy wheelchair access for her home

OGDENSBURG -- A jamboree for Mary Lou Dishaw, an amputee who also suffers from cancer, will be held Saturday, July 18, starting at 1 p.m. at Knights of Columbus, 721 Hasbrouck St.

Dishaw had her leg amputated and has colon cancer.

She has to have her home modified to allow wheelchair access.

There will be a band and a DJ. Admission is $3.

There will also be door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and hamburgers, hotdogs and French fries.

The jamboree is to help with medical expenses and rehabilitation.
